The Dutchman asked the Netherlands to change his age from 69 to 49 years old, in order to avoid age discrimination.

Emile Ratelband, the "Positivity Coach", who was called "the young god", called on the local court to move his birthday from March 11, 1949 to March 11, 1969, the BBC reports.

Ratelband, a television person who responded to the Press press on Thursday, says the petition is not an advertising move. He said he would give up his monthly pension if his request was approved.

Ratelband says his age is unfairly held back, but he does not want to lie about it.

"So when I ask for a mortgage, say they say it is impossible, for example," he said. "If I go to Tinder, then I get women from 68, 69 when women are there."

He often speaks about the influence of age on his dating options.

"When I'm on Tinder and writes that I have 69, I do not get an answer. When I'm 49, I have a face, I will be in a luxurious position," the BBC said. .

Ratelband compared the request with a legal name change or gender.

"With this free (home) choice, the choice of the name, sex, I want to have my age. I want to control myself," he said. After he had changed his age, he would offer inspiration and hope, he said.

While age discrimination can be a problem, this is contrary to other forms of discrimination that can affect people throughout their lives, says Marjolein van den Brink, specializing in issues related to human rights and gender equality at the Law School of the University of Utrechtu.

It is expected that the court will issue a judgment in about four weeks.
