When Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy Fold with a drop-down display, the device became the most expensive phone in history since 1996 with a suggested price of $ 2000. But this record lasted very little. Now with a value of 2 thousand 600 dollars, Huawei has abolished South Korean and will have to prove whether the Mate X folding phone has enough advantages to justify its astronomical price.

Huawei has designed its Mate X phone with a single screen folding on the outside, which covers the entire outside of the mobile phone when it is closed. The idea is to look like a "normal" phone when folded, and a tablet when it's installed, and has a larger screen of 8 inches.

To achieve this with a single screen, Huawei Mate X, as we said, bends. Therefore, the front and back of the screen are at the front. This gives a feeling of greater fragility to let the entire screen expose the wrapping of the team.

When in the phone mode, the last part is turned off, in other words, the half of the big screen becomes black and only the front part remains illuminated and works. Disassembly automatically switches the whole screen on and the interface is customized to make full use of it. Now we need to see if the software really takes advantage of this dimensional change.

The Huawei Mate X does not have a slot on the screen and almost no frames. There are no rear cameras, as its design allows one set of three sensors to serve as the main camera for photography and the camera for self-portraits. This is possible because, as we have said, we are in the folded front and back of the screen.

And, the Huawei Mate X's design is somewhat unusual, because one of the sides is much thicker than the rest of the phone, so it has the same thickness when bending the entire device. On these thick pages are the main buttons of the phone, cameras and flashlights. Here's also the fingerprint sensor Huawei Mate X.

Additionally, the "brain" of this Mate X is its own Huawei processor, a powerful Kirin 980, along with the Balong 5000 modem designed to work with advanced 5G networks. The device will arrive in the middle of this year and will be available for $ 2,600.
