Cameron BoyceA shocking death triggered a flood of donations for charity, in which he was passionate … with little help Adam Sandler.
The Disney star, who died last week for twenty years, has worked closely with a charity organization called the Thirst Project, which builds wells that bring clean drinking water into distress.
Co-founder and CEO of Thirst Project, Seth Maxwell, says TMZ … more than 350 people have donated money for Cameron's initiative, a total of $ 15,000.
Maxwell says the money flows from online donations via the charity website, and a large item comes from Facebook's fundraiser, launched by Adam Sandler.
Other celebrities raise awareness and encourage donations … actors Skai Jackson in Nolan GouldSome Cameron friends from the industry have also encouraged fans to donate to the Thirst Project in Cameron on social media too.
Maxwell told us that they are DMD and emails from people who are asking how they can take part … and says there are many ways in which people can continue with Cameron's legacy.
Disney has canceled the event red carpets "Descendants 3" in honor of Cameron … instead, I give money in his name Thirst Project. These funds are separated from $ 15,000 in individual donations.
As we first reported … Cameron, who died in his sleep from seizure, suffered from epilepsy.
