On the Guangzhou automobile show, which opened yesterday, the Chinese company has revealed its first MPV in history – Geely, named Jiaji, will appear on the domestic market in 2019.
While creating the appearance of the car with a length of 4.7 m (the wheelbase stretched to 2.8 m) and with simplified body lines, the international design team Geely tried to escape the traditional look of the minivan, which is often perceived as a "box on wheels".
The cabin has multiple port configurations intended for landing 6 or 7 persons (2 + 2 + 2, 2 + 2 + 3 and 2 + 3 + 2). At the top of the center console there is a 12.3-inch multimedia display, and the list of accessories includes a panoramic roof and ceiling lamp equipped with motion sensors – you can turn on the light upgrade with a simple wave of your hands.
In addition to the 1.8-liter turbo engine (184 hp and 300 Nm) connected to the 6-speed "automatic" minivan, it will be available with 48-volt soft hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in combination with three-cylinder 1.5 and 7-speed robot box. In the "soft hybrid" version, the deviation will be 190 hp and 300 Nm, while the above version of the PHEV with consumption of the passport is only 1.6 l / 100 km in the combined cycle – 258 hp and 385 Nm.
As noted in the Russian Geely office, new brand minivans can appear in the car market only before 2020, although there is no final decision on this matter.
