The Minister of Health in Congo-Kinshasa has stopped a new ebola vaccine that could be given to millions of people – even though the WHO recommended a vaccine.
The minister is now resigning and revealing a new opportunity to vaccinate the current ebola crisis, which is still the second worst of all.
Concerning the recent classification of the Ebola Outbreak in the Congo-Kinshasa World Health Organization (WHO) as an international disaster, it has been concluded that the ebola vaccine used to vaccinate healthcare workers and people exposed to infections ends.
The World Health Organization, together with Doctors Without Borders, recommended that a new type of vaccine be launched in parallel. The new vaccine produced by the American company Johnson & Johnson was tested to a small extent by humans, but it showed good results. In addition, it must be in more than a million doses.
