Too much energy is the challenge that the whole world is facing. Experts are constantly looking for solutions to how to save energy. Such efforts are also present in the design of modern housing, as lower energy consumption is not only welcome because of the saving effect on the family budget, but it is an important mosaic in nature conservation for future generations. Such a project is also an almost zero-energy MultiComfort individual apartment house, which is the fruit of the development of two innovative and sustainable companies, the Slovenian company Lumar and the multinational company Saint-Gobain, and stands in Jesenice.
Participation of domestic and foreign knowledge
On the invitation of Saint-Gobain's multinational company, Lumar, known for its advanced prefabricated houses, developed a special construction system for details of the construction of a house built according to the concept of MultiComfort, and Saint-Gobain contributed advanced solutions and guidelines. The house, built in the concept of MultiComfort, puts in the forefront a holistic and holistic approach to addressing the key aspects of living comfort – from sound, air, daylight, temperature to energy efficiency. The first such house built according to the MultiComfort concept was presented to the Slovenian public in Jesenice a few days ago.

Demo house in Jesenice
The beginning of cooperation between companies is the first demo MultiComfort house, which is set up in Jesenice. It is Lumar's almost zero-energy house Primus-D 150 with 150 square meters of living space that reflects the philosophy of MultiComfort standards. The MultiComfort concept is an advanced and holistic approach to addressing key aspects of living comfort – from sound, air, daylight and temperature. In the construction, some solutions of the Saint-Gobain Group were also used. For isolation, Isover insulation made of glass wool with high thermal insulation, made on the basis of natural binders and 80 percent of recycled glass, was used, and an intelligent vapor barrier preventing moistening of the wooden structure in winter, and in the summer it allows its rapid drying. The rooms were separated by means of Rigips drywall panels, which, among other things, allow the fixing of stationary wall loads without inserts and for up to 13 dB increase the sound protection of the partition walls. At the same time, Rigips boards reduce the level of harmful formaldehyde as the largest air pollutant in the indoor environment.

For the facade, the Webrov contact thin-layer façade system was used with Isover insulation made of glass fibers, high vapor permeability and thermal insulation, with finishing thin-walled facade plaster, which with the help of intelligent redistribution on the surface of moisture dampness reduces the possibility of dirt absorption, including a special finishing technique of decorative finishing weberdesign glitter).
The house is also smart, as it incorporates sensors that monitor other parameters of living, such as carbon dioxide and relative humidity, which also speak about the quality of living in the house. At the same time, the use of energy is monitored, and the analysis of all results will serve to develop products in the future.
