MLADÁ BOLESLAV. The Czech car Skoda agreed with the unions to increase salaries.
Škoda, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group, and the Kovo trade union, agreed on a new collective agreement. Tariff wages will increase by approximately EUR 100 from 1 April.
The current employees earn an average of about 2,000 euros on average. In addition, they will receive one-off awards in May and December. The new collective agreement is valid for 12 months.
Skoda last year produced around 886,000 vehicles in its Czech plants in Mlada Boleslav and Kvasina.
