The Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesić, who attended the event, also thanked the Agency for Traffic Safety and Traffic Police for the campaign "You have only one trip" and stated that their work would have no results, according to which every year on our roads less people build. We are also considering that it is not enough that we will not only violate traffic regulations, said Vesić, who turned to the citizens, adding that traffic should be taken care of, as a traffic accident can happen and not our fault.
"We should also think about how many young people have lost their lives, because it is true that the biggest cause of mortality in young people is a fast ride," Vesić said. He emphasized that one of the biggest problems in Belgrade, when the streets are being built, the first demands of citizens lie in the expectations because they ride on those streets, as if they were a self-portrait.
"Unfortunately, this is happening and this is something that we need to take action. Therefore, I call on the Ministry of the Interior and everyone else who can contribute to an even greater sanction for promoting and driving in an alcoholic country, because there is no serious penalty if we can save one life, "Vesic said.
He added that as a society in which drivers do not make sense to motorcyclists and cyclists, and how to keep going while driving, we have to do much more to save lives. "A traffic accident is something that happens in a moment. The moment of neglect can change life not only for people who are involved in the accident, but also for their families," Vesić said.
Let it be this day and remember all those who have lost their lives to warn them that they are cautious in traffic, not only to save lives, but also the lives of other people, Vesic said. V.d. Director of the Serbian Agency for Traffic Safety Jasmina Milošević stressed that their desire to wake up the awareness of the citizens about the campaign and the fact that millions of people die every year on roads around the world, millions of people are injured and suffer tens of millions of families and have lasting consequences traffic accidents.
"Accidents in road accidents are the most important cause of mortality among young people, and there is no disease that causes an automobile accident annually," Milosevic said. Noting that the Agency for Traffic Safety at the Ministry of the Interior is carrying out numerous activities to reduce road accidents, Milosevic said that this year was compared to the previous reduced number of road accidents.
"Seven percent are less dead, less than 1,000 people are less affected than in the previous year, we recorded 20 percent of falling drivers and passengers, 20 percent of motorcyclists and motorcyclists, 17 percent less steep rider and a reduction in the number of injured pedestrians," Milosevic said.
Igor Lazic Nigor, who participates in the "You have only one way" campaign, thanked for the confidence expressed as part of the campaign and made a song and video that he hoped to change the awareness of all traffic participants, or drivers or pedestrians.
He said that in 2007 he lost his father in a car accident and a friend and colleague in 1999 and stressed that it is difficult to tolerate this trauma in himself. "Not only victims were victims, victims of families and victims who lost their loved ones. Life is changing from roots and it is difficult to fight," Nigor said.
When he stated that the song was written from the heart, he at the end of the song from the end of the song quoted some verses in which death refers: "I am here, I am waiting for you, to the right, in high speed and in the curse. I am not saying that you see, because your life is not mine. I am waiting for you in the middle of the night, in the fog and when it rains. "Chief of the Traffic Police Directorate Nebojsa Arsov said that from the beginning of the year 476 people were killed on our roads, at a distance of 250 kilometers, 33 old driver of 18 years and driver, both landed on the road.
"The moment, like the twinkling eye, teaches thousands of smiles, overflows tearful tears, erases all plans. Respect the rules, save lives and others and yours," said Arsov. The event, intended to remind millions of people who were killed in traffic, began, unlike previous years, when it was an honor to the victims with a minute of silence, with the publication of the song by Igor Lazic Nigor "You have only one way" and ended with respect for the victims by playing white balloons.
