The film, directed by seven directors, will celebrate the 70th anniversary of China

The film, jointly directed by seven famous Chinese directors, is scheduled for the national holiday in October, marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

"My Homeland and Me" contains the stories of ordinary Chinese in the last seven decades, especially in critical moments in history, says film producer Huang Jianxin.

The directors are Chen Kaige, Zhang Yibai, Guan Hu and Xu Zheng, and Chen Kaige as the main director.

"The film will be a gift to Chinese directors for the new China," said Chen. "It is not just a Chinese way of becoming a great country, but also a collective memory of all nations with Chinese origin."
