The qualifications for the African Cup of Nations ended tonight. We now know that 24 are qualified. Among them there were several countries that were already present in the 2017 edition: Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Mali and Uganda.

Several teams are coming back to the competition: Nigeria (2013 winner), Angola (Qualified in 2013), Guinea (Qualified in 2015), Namibia (Qualified in 2008), South Africa (Qualified in 2015), Kenya (Qualified in 2004) , Tanzania (trained in 1980) and Benin (qualified in 2010). In the end, Madagascar discovers competition, as well as Burundi and Mauritania.
