Chelsea have officially confirmed their refusal to participate in the European Super League. The relevant appeal was published in the sources of the London club.
– Chelsea can confirm that they have started formal withdrawal procedures from the group developing the European Super League. We had time to fully examine this issue and decided that our further participation in these plans will not be in the interest of the club, fans and the football community as a whole, – reads the message.
Thus, all six Premier League clubs that were among the participants in the Super League left the tournament. Prior to that, the relevant statements were made by Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham.
