NEW YORK CITY – Manny Pacquiao came to trust and excitement with agitation on Saturday evening (Sunday in Manila), where he arranged his products against a discriminating audience in the US.

"Of course I am looking forward to returning to the United States," said Pacquiao in a company of his team in his drought at Mondrian.

"I have not tackled a fight in America, and I can no longer wait to fight again," said Pacquiao, who will meet Adrien Broner on MGM Grand in Las Vegas on January 19.

This will be Pacquiao's first defense of the World Boxing Association's welterweight crown, which he took to stop Argentina's Lucas Matthysse last July in Kuala Lumpur.

Pacquiao's tour will be here at the full run of a promotional tour that will also see him and the Bronzer in Waldorf Astoria in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Pacquiao, who turned to 40th on Dec. 17, was joined by Jinkee's wife and sister twin sister Janet and partner Steve Jumalon and the new aide de camp Joe Ramos and Joan's wife on the Cathay Pacific plane that stopped in Hong Kong.

Newly-appointed head coach Buboy Fernandez followed Pacquiau here in Big Apple on direct flight from Manila, hit by the JFK airport shortly before midnight.

Pacquiao and Fernandez discussed an eight-week training camp, which will start when the team returns to Manila from a press tour.

A few days after the 40th birthday, Pacquiao will pack his bags and return to Los Angeles for the second half of the show.

"January's weather is cold, so I want to get used to the weather," said Pacquiao, whose battleship clash could lead to Floyd Mayweather's return in May, June or July of the following year.

Like Mayweather and Broner, Pacquiao is now aligned with Al Haymon, although the low profile is the main factor in the big box.

Over the past few weeks, Pacquiao has played an evening basketball to maintain his condition.

The formal press conference of the Pacquiao-Broner slugfest will take place on Monday in the Gotham Hall.
