accident has been postponed

On Sunday, it was known that the Robinson R44 is a helicopter type. The relatively lightweight type of helicopter, only 600 kilograms, cooperated in 18 accidents in a few years.

A month ago, Jarle Hegerland (46) and Ann-Cathrin Losvik (48) died when the Robinson R44 helicopter collided with a mountain wall at Røldalsfjellet in Hordaland.

– I can not comment on the causes or speculate with anything, but this is the third accident since the new year, the real officer in charge of the accident, Torbjørg Gåsland

It stresses that any accident must be dealt with separately.

A helicopter with two men from southern Norway crashed into strong winds Saturday night. Both destroyed the wreck itself and later flew into the Ullevål hospital.

Covered trees

At night, representatives of the AIBN, the crew of the fire department and police officers worked intensively for the transport of a helicopter.

Among other things, they cut down 30 meters of tall trees and searched for loose parts in the area. The main rotor was found 38 meters from the scene of the accident.

– It was a difficult place for an accident. She just asked me to get there. In addition, we had to cut some trees to get them out of the helicopter, "says Gåsland.

We would like to thank the Kragerø Fire Department and the police for exceptional good assistance on a demanding field.

– I have everything

After working from 5:00 on Sunday morning, Gåsland can now state that all the loose parts were transported to Tangen and ready to be transported.

– We all have it with us. It's the whole helicopter. It will now be transported to our premises at Lillestrøm, where we will continue our research, says Gåsland

When asked if a report can be expected, it answers that it usually takes one year.

– But this depends entirely on how many other tasks we have to do.
