The Xiaomi Mi A3 photos reveal the footprint of the AMOLED display and the new midrange processor

It seems that Xiaomi Mi A3 will be released sooner than expected, as the people at GSMArna obtained photos in the box and its contents. We A3 is the upcoming smartphone Android One Xiaomi, which offers a clean Android experience instead of the MIUI.

As shown above, it looks like a Xiaomi CC9 in China with a retro-reflective glass back that comes with a triple camera setting. At first it is assumed that the revised version of CC9 is, but it turns out to be closer to the more affordable CC9e.

As shown above, the sticker of the sticker indicates that the device will be equipped with a small 6.088 "AMOLED display that has a slot for lowering. For comparison, CC9 has a larger 6.39 "Full HD + AMOLED display. Since this is a standard (non-Lite) model, we believe that the Full HD + display should be like its previous Mi Mi series. A fingerprint sensor and a large 4.030mAh battery have been confirmed.

Instead of operating on a more powerful Snapdragon 730 processor, the label on the device reveals that it is powered by the Snapdragon 665, as stated by Roland Quandt. The Snapdragon 665 was first observed on the Xiaomi CC9e and it seems to be a gradual update of the older Snapdragon 660 powered by Mi A2.

According to the official spec-sheet, the Snapdragon 665 uses similar 4x Kryo 260 Gold and 4x Kryo 260 Silver cores as the Snapdragon 660, but runs at a lower 2.0 GHz clock speed instead of 2.2GHz. However, the new chip is made on the basis of a more efficient 11nm process instead of 14nm. Of course, as a newer model, the Snapdragon 665 comes with the Adreno 610 GPU and the Spectra 165 ISP. Surprisingly, it supports only Quick Charge 3.0 instead of 4.0.

In the Imaging section, the label also confirmed the installation with three cameras featuring a 48MP main camera, along with an ultra wide-angle lens. We estimate that the third shooter will be used for depth effects, such as the current Xiaomi CC series.

As we have seen before, the Xiaomi Mi A3 will still keep a 3.5mm headphone jack, infrared blaster and USB-C ports. Looking at the specifications, Mi A3 is definitely a lag behind the current Mi 9T, but this may also mean that the device is more cost-effective. It is also expected that Xiaomi will reveal a cheaper Mi A3 Lite next to Mi A3.

To refresh your memory, Mi A2 was 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage space at RM999, while 6 MB RAM + 128 GB of storage memory RM1.199 at startup. The current Mi 9T has a price of RM1,199 for a basic 6GB RAM + 64GB memory model and RM1,399 for a 128GB memory version.

At present, Xiaomi is truly a full swing with Mi A3 and we will not be surprised if they will officially unveil the device in the next few days. If you have not seen it yet, you can check the crash here.
