The BMW 3 Series Hybrid can work 2l / 100km

MUNICH, GERMANY – BMW has pushed its new thirteen sedan sedan with news of the model released every week in production until its official launch later this year in Portugal. (We will visit the international launch of the new 3 series next month so that you can read our impressions of how to drive soon).

According to the German carmaker, the new BMW 330e plug-in hybrid car represents a revolution that offers greater efficiency, increased electric range and the ability to exploit higher power with standard performance-enhancing technology.

Due to the summer of 2019 in Europe, the BMW 330e Saloon is 30% faster than its predecessor, which means a 50% increase in volume only for electric vehicles that are expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 10%.

A cool new addition to the new 330e is the standard XtraBoost feature – an on-demand performance system that presses the button to press the output power of the 188kW hybrid drive for 30kW. (Vin Diesel will approve.)

In addition to the extra power, the updated hybrid plug can cover a distance of up to 60 km only with electricity (while the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is expected to be impressive of 2 l / 100 km.

The Connecting Hybrid Drive 330e includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine (140kW) with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, which is aligned with an electric motor that produces up to 84kW.

In total, two power units develop a total output of 188kW, together with a maximum torque of 420Nm, but it is possible to obtain extra power when choosing SPORT mode. SPORT mode activates the XtraBoost system based on the power stored in the high voltage battery. This offers a range of performance and driving dynamics typical of the BMW 3 Series Series, a true manufacturer.

Thanks to this state-of-the-art technology, the new BMW 330e can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 6.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km / h.

We are not sure whether all derivatives will come to SA, but in the UK, buyers will be able to choose SE, Sport Line and M Sport.

The car can also be fitted with the Adaptive M spring, including variable sports steering and sports braking system M. We will discover if the 330e will take place in SA in the first week of December, and also you.
