Mercedes reveals details of the latest luxury SUV

Mercedes revealed the details of its latest SUV, the new GLE, featuring several upgrades, including an extra rear-seat pair, the latest MBUX repeat of the Mercedes-Benz information system and a couple of upgraded engines.

The area starts with GLE 300d, which replaces 250d. Nevertheless, there is still a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 242 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It is capable of 0 to 60 km / h in 7.0 seconds and reaches 46.3 mpg, which emits 162 g / km of CO2, although a larger wheel size increases these emissions.

For people who prefer petrol, the Mercedes GLE 450 is powered by a six-cylinder engine with a mild hybrid system called "EQ Boost". The 48V setting adds 22bhp to the car's production, which means a total of 362bhp and 500Nm of torque.

450 is capable of 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds and will return 33.6mpg at 191g / km CO2 emissions.

All GLEs are equipped with the latest infotainment system MBUX, which extends over two 12.3-inch displays on the instrument panel and center console. Includes functions such as an enhanced reality navigation that overlaps the routing instructions on the front camera input and voice activation.

All cars also have 20-inch AMG light alloy wheels, illuminated handles and treads, privacy glass, heated front seats, nappa leather padding, double braking climate and active parking assist.

The GLE 450 adds an active air suspension, as well as a seven-seater package. Includes manual folding third row and four-clone climate control. Accessories include Burmester's premium sound system, wireless access, LED headlamps, wireless charging and a terrain package.
