Juventus strives to sign Inter's striker Mauro Icardi, but his transfer can be linked to Roma striker Edin Džek.
After uninterrupted rumors and a season in which he disagreed with the new contracts, Icardi left Inter training and will not take part in a summer tour of Asia.
The statement on the official club website confirmed the decision of the clubs:
"Mauro Icardi will return to Milan today from our training camp in Lugano.
"The club and the attacker agreed to this decision. In the next few days, Icardi will continue training before the season and will not take part in a summer tour in Asia. «
Reports from Italy show that the Bianconeri closely monitor the situation and would like to sign a discount contract, using their desire to remain in Italy for their own benefit.
Napoli were proposed as a possible destination for Argentina, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis distanced himself from Icardi and his wife Wande Nara:
»Meeting for Icardi? It's a huge, huge nonsense. I met Wando Nara three years ago and I do not intend to meet again. That meeting was enough. Also, because Icardi is not part of the current needs of Napoli. "
Sky Sport Italia reports that Juventus is a desirable destination for Icardi, but the club would have to sell Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandžukić to help release funds from wage costs in order to ease the transition.
Gazzetta Dello Sport today reports that Inter may not have decided to complete other transfers, as they feel they can play in Juve's hands and help with their goal in order for Icardi to get a discount, according to their willingness to sell and his willingness to leave the club.
Gazzetta assumed that if Inter completed the signing of Edin Džeko from the Roma, Giallorossi would have used the funds to sign Gonazal Higuain, which would help Juve to offer for Icardi.
La Repubblica suggests that Icardi could make a more drastic step in deciding to stay in Inter for two years, to collect a salary and to cancel the contract.
