jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Innovations for insulin have always been discovered by people with diabetes 100 years ago.
One of the most recent is IDegAsp’s 2-in-1 innovation in the form of an insulin formulation.
These findings are intended to simplify insulin treatment for people with diabetes.
“Patients need simpler therapeutic procedures,” said the head of the Indonesian Endocrinological Association (PERKENI), prof. Dr. dr. Ketut Suastika, Sp.PD-KEMD, in the media discussion “Novo Nordisk: Experience Freedom by Co-Creating Insulin”, Thursday (25/2).
“Currently, the formulation of 2-in-1 insulin is one of the innovations that can meet the needs of patients and can help millions of diabetics in Indonesia.”
Diabetes is a major health problem in Indonesia, which is now one of the ten countries with the highest number of diabetics in the world in 2019.
The number of diabetics is expected to increase and interventions are needed to prevent and control diabetes.
To address the growing number of diabetics in Indonesia, health professionals have developed guidelines for disease prevention and control.
