Taxation: "We will continue our planned path" (François de Rugy)
Paris – Environment Transition Minister François de Rugy announced that the government will continue the "planned path" in terms of ecological taxation in an interview with the Parisian.
He asked Saturday for an increase in carbon tax, which was scheduled for January 1, that "in the sense of ecological taxation, we will continue our planned path. It would not be unconscious".
"We were elected to solve the problems that we left behind, and we will continue to do this indefinitely; it is essential to get out of this trap from any car, any oil, any diesel fuel in which we have been locked so long, "says François de Rugy, while according to the Interior Ministry, nearly 283,000" yellow jackets "were mobilized on Saturday against rising fuel taxes.
"It is necessary to maintain the course of measures that we take to free ourselves of oil dependency and thus avoid" that the explosion of the price of oil drones may shake our economy one day, "the minister added.
Regarding the movement of the "yellow chest", he claims that "he saw, in the first place, the expression of the utmost care of the inhabitants of suburban France trapped in every car. (…) This France has the feeling" falling into the invisible political debate ".
