November 5, 2018 (GMN) – Ethiopia has a new government spokesman on Monday with the appointment of Billen Seyoum as the press secretary in the office of Prime Minister Abhi Ahmed.
She will be assisted by another woman, as Helen Yosef was also confirmed as Deputy Secretary of State. Billene and Helen have extensive experience in communications and journalism, reports the independent owner of Addis Standard.
A journalist reported on Monday that she had published an issue of media access admissions, which are working in the premier's office, for the first time to present journalists for local and foreign journalists.
Until Billen was appointed, government messages almost became the job of Aby's former chief of staff Fitsum Arege. The press office is a new office under Abiyov's new chief, Shimelissa Abdisso.
Former jobseeker, Arega, assumes a new post as Commissioner for the Ethiopian Investment Commission EIC.
I wanted to inform you that I will return to the Ethiopian Investment Commission – as Commissioner. I enjoyed the time immensely as the Chief of General Staff who serves the historic Prime Minister, which will undoubtedly change the country for the better. #Ethiopia (State media)
