A new study reveals that EITING is the best part of their day for most Americans

Two-thirds of Americans say their weekend meals are their “reward” for surviving another week, new research shows.

A survey of 2,000 general Americans found that 68% of people look forward to a stressful weekend.

Two out of five (44%) said they eat better quality food on weekends than during the week. More than half (55%) of Americans believe that eating can be a form of therapy.

Another 33% said they don’t want to cook because they can never decide what to eat, and 31% don’t want to eat them.

An important factor is how people feel under stress. Forty-three percent feel pushed to their absolute limits when Friday arrives. Almost as many (44%) feel so stressed that they will count down the hours until the weekend.

Half of Americans value their weekends so much, they feel like they’re wasted if they don’t do something fun or just for their own enjoyment.

For 40% of people, what they buy in the store is directly related to the stress they felt last week. Six out of 10 shop for simple and pre-prepared meals for busy, stressful days.

Americans, on average, buy four easy and pre-prepared meals a week.

If they feel stressed or have a bad day, 49% of them plan a special meal an average of three days in advance and then look forward to sitting down and eating it.

“We know that for all Americans, the landscape has changed. When many of us work from home, separating work from home can become challenging. Everyone is looking for a quick and convenient solution to a meal. These items like frozen pizza or strombolis, stress, what to do, and provide a great meal for tasting and satiety that is ready in minutes. ”said Nick Fallucca, Product and Innovation Director at Palermo Villa, Inc.

While many do not like to cook, sitting and eating is the best part of the day for 62% of Americans. Fifty-six percent of people are especially looking forward to dinner.

More than three out of five (63%) believe that sitting for a meal gives them a much-needed mental break from the day. More than a third (37%) have weekly nights dedicated to certain foods.

When asked which meals they are most looking forward to, 51% of respondents answered that they are looking forward to pizza. Meanwhile, 38% are equally looking forward to eating burgers and pasta, and 34% are looking forward to grilling.

Since staying at home longer, people are especially increasing their consumption of frozen foods. More than a quarter (27%) ate more frozen pizza than ever before.

Similarly, 23% of people ate more frozen TV dinners and frozen sandwich meals, while 10% ate more frozen vegetables.

A third (36%) of respondents said they work from home, and frozen food has become their meal.

Fifty-nine percent of remote workers ate more easily prepared and pre-prepared meals for lunch than they would otherwise. Two thirds (67%) prepare lunch just for themselves and therefore opt for something that is easy to make.

“Although more Americans work from home, they don’t always have enough time to prepare a good meal for lunch. They’re looking for something quick and convenient,” said Nick Fallucca, chief product and innovation officer at Palermo Villa, Inc. “Frozen foods like pizza or hand strombolis offer a quick and microwave option that not only tastes good, but is also filling. We believe that things like premium ingredients and hand options are key to that.”
