In the year, marked by strong changes in the management of Cencosud, the economy controlled by Horst Paulmann published new releases on Friday. The company reported on the departure of Corporate Finance Director Rodrigo Larraín and Corporate Human Resources Manager Rodrigo Hetz, who will leave the company as of December 31.

In this way Matías Videla, the current regional director of shopping centers, will take over the position of the manager of the management and be responsible for the process of opening the stock exchange of the said division.

With 21 years of experience in Cencosud, she saw Head of Management, Corporate Supervisor and General Manager of supermarkets in Argentina. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires and an MBA from the IAE Business School at the Australian University in Buenos Aires.

In his replacement, Germán Cerrato, the current director of Shopping Centers Argentina, takes over as regional director of shopping centers. With 11 years of experience in Cencosud, Cerrato is always connected with the operation of shopping centers. His origins were the head of the Unicentre center in Buenos Aires, and later he became a commercial leader in Argentina and Chile. He was also the head of the shopping centers in Colombia and the regional director for real estate development of shopping centers based in Chile. As part of his new responsibilities, he will continue the process of opening a stock exchange in the Division. He graduated from the Business Administration of the University of Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).

As far as Corporate Resource Management is concerned, its replacement will be notified in good time, the company said.

These changes at the executive level are in addition to those announced in October when the company appointed Antonio Ureto as new director of the supermarket department Eric Basset in the Internal Improvement Department and Matías Videla himself, who then took over the Head of the Shopping Center. In the meantime, in June a resignation was announced of Jaime Solier after four years in charge of general management replaced by Andreas Gebhardt, the former general manager of Enel Distribución.

One of the main challenges for 2019 is the debut of the shopping center area. At the end of August, the company announced the opening of the aforementioned unit, an operation which is expected to increase around $ 1,000 million, which will enable it to reduce debt and strengthen the operations of shopping centers.
