SAN JOSE, CA – Evander Kane and Joonas Donskoi scored every two goals, Erik Karlsson had three assists and San Jose Sharks beat Edmonton Oilers 7-2 on Tuesday night.
Marcus Sorensen, Brent Burns and Joe Thornton also reached San Jose, who won four consecutive and six out of seven – a total of 36 goals in this section. Sharks is 11-2-2 in the last 15 games.
Karlsson has at least one help in 14 consecutive appearances. In this range he has 25 points (one goal, 24 assists) and three assists in each of the last two matches.
San Jose coach Peter DeBoer missed the game because he was sick.
Alex Chiasson and Milan Lucic won Edmonton, who lost eight in ten to 5-0-1.
Kane has five hits in the last four games and random volleyball appeared in his 15th and 16th season.
He scored the first goal in the night at 6:37 in the first period when his shot fell from the back of the skater of defender Caleb Jones and moved past the goalkeeper Cam Talbot. Later, Burns went ricocheted off Kane's skate and into the net, giving San Jose 4-1 a lead at 6:32 second.
Sorensen reached the eighth goal on penalty. Aaron Dell made 20 savings for San Jose.
Mikko Koskinen put off three shots on 19 goals after Talbot replaced the other half. Talbot allowed four goals and returned 17 shots.
