The current NXT champion and recent main call winner Tommaso Ciampa is concerned with neck injury. As the Wrestling Observer initially reported (a subscription is required), the severity of the injury is currently unknown, but this week he was left out of work. The current plan is that Ciampa is competing on the next NXT TakeOver event and then re-evaluated.
PW Insider has more information on the test. Ciampa has been dealing with neck issues for five weeks, and this week he seemed unable to heal. According to their report, "all options are on the table" about what WWE will do next with Ciampo and the situation is still in progress.
The damage caused RAW to be partially redesigned, as Ciampa and Gargano were ready to compete in a four-game race, which was later changed to Aleister Black & Ricochet, who defeated Revival.
