NASA recognizes the legacy of the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking | Science


NASA honors visionary physicist Stephen Hawking, who died in his home in Cambridge, England early on Wednesday morning.

NASA chief Robert Lightfoot warned that Hawking's role as a "passionate communicator who wanted to share the enthusiasm of discoveries with everyone" and added that his "influence can not be overstated".

"Stephen's breakthroughs in physics and astronomy have not only changed the look on the cosmos but have played and will continue to play a key role in shaping NASA's efforts to explore our solar system and beyond," Lightfoot said.
