Alberta, who was faced with a new trial in the death of meningitis syndrome, wanted to fall

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. – A couple facing another trial in the death of their son's meningitis calls for the abandonment of charges against them and an estimated $ 4 million.

David Stephan and his wife, Collet, were blamed in 2016 that they did not need the life of 19-month-old Ezekiel.

Their trial in Lethbridge, Alta. They heard evidence that the boy was treated with garlic, onion and horseradish instead of taking him to the doctor.

Stephans eventually called 911, but the little one died in 2012 in a hospital.

In the last month, the Supreme Court in Canada ordered a new trial in the decision stating that the original judge was not properly ordered by the commanders.

On Thursday, a couple filed applications to interrupt the proceedings and tasks in which Alberte Justice asked for up to $ 4 million to cover the costs of the court.
