Katter is working to help the coalition

Scott Morrison does not have a majority in parliament, but he can formally count on Bob Katter's independent support to make sure he can lead.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister signed an agreement with Mr. Katter, who voted in favor of Queensland's vote on the issues of trust and care.

In return, the government will finance up to $ 180 million for the Hughenden irrigation scheme and $ 54 million for Dam Hell's Gate.

"The agreement will support the continued stability of the government and continue with us," Morrison said in a statement on Thursday.

"He will protect against the opposition from political disorders".

The coalition lost most of the time when independent Kerryn Phelps won the old seat of Malcolm Turnbull in Wentworth, with Mr Morrison having to be voting vaguely without confidence.

"I agree with the proposals, as described in this letter, with pleasure," he wrote. Kater.

Mr Katter is an unregistered participant in the parliament during the seven weeks.
