In La Plata, the Department of Health launched a plan to prevent colorectal cancer through a primary screening strategy that involves the testing of occult blood in the faecal state (TSOMF). From now on, anyone over the age of 50 will be able to go to one of the 40 platinum places where they will be tested and directed at home privacy. It's free and does not hurt.
In this way, primary health care centers were included in the program for the prevention, early diagnosis and timely treatment of this disease, which in Argentina is the second cause of death due to malignant tumors.
