The food and renewable energy company has completed the operation of an industrial milk processing plant in Chivilcoy and other specialized powdered milk and cheese that are located in the Morteros province of Córdoba Province. In dialogue with domain.com, Bosch He explained that efficiency and competitiveness are two obsessions of the company. Mariano Bosch: We believe that we have agroecological conditions in Argentina and that we have people who have a lot of knowledge about the dairy industry and how to effectively produce, not only milk, but also food. We believe all this knowledge that the state slept because the same quantity of liters was produced 25 years ago. He has grown in this whole world and we see that we are losing the city as Argentines. Q: And in what space do both plants occupy?
M.B. With these two strategically placed businesses, we are buying the opportunity to find themselves in the main dairy products that are consumed all over the world. The goal is to be competitive in the export market as well as internally. This is the main challenge we have with this acquisition, which we have today made and which we are working on for a long time.
V.: What is the investment plan for the development of both factories?
M.B. We have a planned strategy, no doubt, but everything will depend on how the market will work. We want plants to be in the highest productive capacity within the sustainable system we use. The power of our cows is always best used in liters of milk per day. We also use a biodigester that produces electricity not only for dairy farms, but also for the factory and communities that surround us. In general, we have several plans available, everything will depend on how it will evolve, but we will certainly invest between $ 10 and 15 million in both factories.
P .: At present, there are 8,000 cows and produce 300,000 liters of milk per day, with new plants, how much do you expect to increase milk production in the coming years?
M.B. Today we have an investment process that will reach 14,500 cows and 500,000 liters a day. This is something we are already progressing.
Q: What do you think the milk sector is currently in the country?
M.B. Reality is not foreign. This is a difficult time for the sector. Without a doubt, the manufacturer is not easy. Ever since we founded Adecoagro, we have always said that investments are long-term. Today we see the problems that exist, but we believe that we have the conditions for competitiveness in the country. Although we are not at the best moment today, we can go there with that potential tomorrow. When we think about this investment, we do this by contributing our share to make the country more competitive. If we take a quality product into world exports, we eventually move to the tambero manufacturer. We will be most interested in the price of milk as the highest and most sustainable in the long run and that we must have consumers willing to pay for the quality of Argentine milk.
Q: How much responsibility does the state give to the private sector in terms of the current situation?
M.B. We are entrepreneurs Today, we have eight thousand jobs, where there was nothing before and we did it on the basis of entrepreneurship. The key to development is in a private initiative. It is obvious that measures taken by governments accelerate or slow down, as they are affected. However, we are confident in a private initiative and we do it.
Q: And the internal market in which space the company is?
M.B. In Brazil, we have nothing in the dairy sector. We started the company here and then we went there. But in the dairy industry, we believe that Argentina has many more conditions for competitiveness. We have a lot more options than other places in South America.
Q: In recent years, because of the crisis, SanCor has reduced its staff in large numbers, are you planning to expand or recruit staff?
M.B. Today we are taking over the plant with 280 people who will continue with us. They will work as needed to be competitive and efficient. We have many plans for the future, but everything will depend on the development of the market and products. Since we started, we have increased the number of produced tons per year and created jobs.
