North lights are shown this weekend

Look at the sky this weekend and you may see some colors that you have no apprentices to see in this part of the country. A geomagnetic storm would cause the aurora to borealis, also known as the northern light, visible throughout the country far south of Chicago and stretching from the Washington state through Wisconsin to New York. Not often Wisconsinites get the chance to see this type of exhibition in the sky, so David Lenius of the Astronomical Society of the Peninsula's Gate says that you need to get to the right place to truly enjoy.

Although it was expected to be strongest on Friday and Saturday evenings, it may still be visible on Sunday night.
